Developed beginning in the 1920s, the Ridgedale Park neighborhood is on the east side of Peachtree Road just north of Lenox Square/Phipps Plaza. Neighborhood signs mark the entries. Its 110 homes are a charming blend of early 20th century vernacular architecture in a mature urban forest. Tudor revival, Georgian and English and French cottage styles mix comfortably. Homes are built on the area's original rolling topography, often with deeply set-back front yards.
Many homes have undergone or are undergoing renovation, underlining the neighborhood's stability. Walkers and joggers enjoy the gently curving streets. Although Ridgedale Park is within easy walking distance of Atlanta's two top shopping areas, Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza, it has the atmosphere of a quiet, established enclave.
Children attend some of Atlanta's top public schools: Sarah Smith Elementary, Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.
